On October 14, Bo Nix's 5.2 air yards per attempt was noted as the fewest since 2018. A week later, discussion turned to a stat that Nix completed only five passes over 10 air yards in the last month, with Cam Ward next at 13. The conversation centers on Sean Payton and Davis Webb and whether Nix will force deep shots against Arizona. Nothing has been settled about who is responsible for the lack of downfield attempts or whether the approach changes.
