The Memphis Grizzlies beat the Portland Trail Blazers on October 29, 2026, to improve to 5-0 and stand as the only undefeated team in the NBA. The discussion has centered on how a rebuilt roster with a new coach and a strong rookie class has bought in so quickly, and on whether the start carries weight over a full 82-game season. Ja Morant left in the fourth quarter with a hamstring injury in his first game against Memphis, adding a new concern to the fast start. Cam Boozer is now the second youngest player ever to record a triple-double, behind Josh Giddey.
