The Miami Heat beat the Atlanta Hawks 129-117 on October 29, 2026, their first win after an 0-4 start. Bam Adebayo passed Udonis Haslem for the most rebounds in franchise history and finished a game-high plus-22, while Giannis Antetokounmpo was a team-low minus-6. The Heat ran pick and roll 57 times against Atlanta, topping their previous season high of 35. The discussion has widened from whether Adebayo is a superstar or a player added around Antetokounmpo to the Heat's repeated attempts to trade Andrew Wiggins, last season and again in the offseason. Whether one aggressive night becomes a habit is still open.
