The Detroit Lions beat the Arizona Cardinals on October 12, 2026, scoring 45 points after opening with three straight three-and-outs. The defense forced five consecutive three-and-outs against Arizona after leading the league in opponents' points per drive through four weeks. The discussion treats the result as a reminder of Detroit's ceiling rather than a statement, given Arizona's struggling defense, and turns on the offensive line: Penei Sewell's highlight plays, Mahogany's day, and Cade Mays returning at center after the Week 6 bye. Goff is the first quarterback with 12-plus passing touchdowns and zero giveaways through five games.
