Lifestyle · Heat 10.0 / 10 · 2 shows · 5m airtime

Nigeria's health ministry reported the country's first Ebola case on 23 October 2026: a Ugandan-born woman married to a Swiss diplomat who flew to Abuja via Ethiopia. She has since been airlifted to Switzerland with her spouse, and Africa CDC says she passed through Entebbe on October 3. Officials had listed 44 contacts told to isolate and are investigating whether she crossed paths with Kenya's first case at Entebbe. The WHO and Nigeria say Uganda's claim that she visited the DRC is unverified.
