The Carolina Panthers fired defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and passing game coordinator Jonathan Cooley on October 30, 2026, the day after a 27-19 loss to Green Bay dropped them to 3-4. Evero had been with the team for almost 60 games and had interviewed for head coaching jobs. The defense ranks 30th against the run and 23rd in total defense, and has allowed 80 points over its last two games. Discussion has moved to Evero's tenure: he kept his job through the Panthers' transition from Frank Reich to Dave Canales. No reporting yet on replacements or the staff going forward.
