The Las Vegas Raiders play the New York Jets in NFL Week 8 on November 1, 2026. The discussion has settled on Geno Smith against the franchise that drafted him, and on a stat that cuts against the revenge framing: he has thrown only two interceptions this season after leading the Raiders in picks last year. That restraint is read as protecting a contract year, and the hosts still land on Las Vegas because Kirk Cousins is playing outdoors. Aaron Glenn's admission that calling the defense and managing the game is hard carries the rest.
