The FDA approved Revolution Medicines' once-daily pill daraxonrasib, or RasenQ, on August 26 for metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma in patients with at least one prior treatment. In a 500-person trial, median survival was 13.2 months versus 6.7 months on chemotherapy. The discussion has moved to cost and competition: the list price is $39,800 a month, more than 2,000 patients already receive the drug through expanded access, and Insilico has presented data on a G12D inhibitor plus chemotherapy. How payers will cover RasenQ, what happens to the expanded-access population, and how the rival combination compares remain open.
