RasenQ's price tag

The FDA approved Revolution Medicines' once-daily pill daraxonrasib, or RasenQ, on August 26 for metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma in patients with at least one prior treatment. In a 500-person trial, median survival was 13.2 months versus 6.7 months on chemotherapy. The discussion has moved to cost and competition: the list price is $39,800 a month, more than 2,000 patients already receive the drug through expanded access, and Insilico has presented data on a G12D inhibitor plus chemotherapy. How payers will cover RasenQ, what happens to the expanded-access population, and how the rival combination compares remain open.

How 3 podcasts covered it

  1. The Megyn Kelly Show, 2026-09-01 (17:32 to 21:41)
Reports the approval and the $39,800 monthly price
Reports the FDA's approval of Revolution Medicines' once-daily daraxonrasib, with trial medians of 13.2 versus 6.7 months, Ben Sasse's account of outliving his prognosis, the KRAS mechanism, and a $39,800 monthly list price.
New angle: RasenQ carries a $39,800 monthly list price, and over 2,000 patients already get it via expanded access.
  2. Unbiased Science, 2026-10-14 (5:52 to 9:11)
Recaps the pancreatic cancer trial result
Runs through broad cancer progress - the 35 percent drop in the US death rate since 1991, 4.8 million fewer deaths, poor survival in pancreatic cancer and glioblastoma - then flags the pancreatic cancer pill that nearly doubled median survival in a phase three trial. A retelling of the RasenQ trial result already on the record.
  3. The Readout Loud, 2026-10-30 (11:42 to 13:41)
Surveys the wider KRAS field the approval opened
Surveys the wider KRAS field the RasenQ approval opened up: G12D inhibitors such as Insilico's combined with chemotherapy in pancreatic cancer, and a debate over mutation-specific versus pan-KRAS drugs. Frames the approval as the starting gun rather than the finish line.
New angle: Insilico presented data on a G12D inhibitor plus chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer at the meeting.
