On October 28, 2026, Prime Video announced the premiere of The Greatest, the first scripted Muhammad Ali series authorized by his family, with Michael B. Jordan as executive producer and Lonnie Ali consulting. Newcomer Jalen Best, who had never boxed, plays the young Cassius Clay. The discussion has since settled on the release itself: all eight episodes arrive November 4, and coverage frames the series around its family authorization rather than the usual red tape.
